These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of The Drag Racing Connection website, community, directory, submissions and classified marketplace (collectively, the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 13 to use community features and at least 18 to submit a classified listing, purchase a paid service or enter a transaction. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding your credentials and all activity under your account. We may require email verification or moderation before granting access.
Community Standards
- Be civil and discuss ideas without harassment, threats, hate speech or personal attacks.
- Do not post unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, defamatory, obscene or dangerous content.
- Do not spam, scrape, impersonate others, manipulate engagement or interfere with Site security.
- Respect privacy, intellectual-property rights, track rules and motorsports safety requirements.
- Do not publish another person’s sensitive information without permission.
User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant DRC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote and improve the Site. You represent that you own or have permission to use everything you submit and that it does not violate law or another person’s rights. You may request removal, but cached, archived, quoted or legally retained copies may remain.
Editorial Content and Corrections
News, schedules, results, directory data and other editorial material may change or contain errors. Verify event dates, rules, prices and safety information with the applicable track, series, seller or organizer before relying on it. Correction requests may be sent through our Contact page.
Classified Marketplace
DRC provides a venue for buyers and sellers but is not the seller, buyer, broker, escrow agent, inspector or party to user transactions. Sellers are responsible for accurate descriptions, lawful ownership, pricing, disclosures, taxes, shipping and completing transactions. Buyers are responsible for inspecting items, confirming identity and title, and using secure payment and delivery methods.
Prohibited listings include stolen property, fraudulent or counterfeit items, illegal goods, unsafe items offered in violation of law, weapons where prohibited, personal data, and anything DRC determines poses an unreasonable risk. We may review, reject, edit, suspend or remove a listing or account. A listing remaining online does not mean DRC has verified or endorsed it.
Fees, Renewals and Refunds
Prices, listing duration, included features and any subscription limits will be shown before purchase. Payment processing may be provided by a third party. Unless a posted offer says otherwise, fees cover access to the selected publishing or promotional service and do not guarantee a sale, audience size or result. Subscription renewal and cancellation terms will be disclosed before recurring billing is enabled. Any refund policy displayed at checkout becomes part of these Terms.
Advertising and Sponsors
The Site may display paid advertisements, sponsored content and affiliate links. Sponsored or affiliate relationships will be identified where required. An advertisement is not an endorsement or guarantee by DRC. Your dealings with advertisers are between you and the advertiser.
Intellectual Property
The Site design, DRC branding and DRC-created text, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to DRC and protected by applicable law. You may link to public pages and share brief excerpts with attribution, but may not republish substantial content, copy the Site, or use DRC marks in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.
Third-Party Services and Links
The Site may link to tracks, racing organizations, advertisers, payment processors and other third parties. DRC does not control and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, terms or privacy practices.
Safety
Motorsports involve serious risks. Site content is informational and is not professional mechanical, legal, medical or safety advice. Follow sanctioning-body rules, manufacturer instructions, facility requirements and qualified professional guidance. Never attempt an activity beyond your training, equipment or legal authority.
Enforcement and Termination
We may moderate content and suspend or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms, Site rules, law or safety are at risk. We are not obligated to pre-screen every submission. Report suspected violations through the Contact page.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. DRC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or losses arising from user content, events, transactions or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Site develops. The effective date will be revised when changes are published. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
