Rick Ware Racing has named Rob Wendland crew chief for Clay Millican’s Top Fuel program, beginning with the Dodge NHRA Great Lakes Nationals at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.
Wendland arrives after serving as crew chief for Shawn Reed Racing since the program’s early development. His tenure included the organization’s first NHRA national-event victory at the 2025 Reading Nationals.
His racing background extends beyond tuning. Wendland previously competed in Top Alcohol Dragster and earned two national-event victories in 1999. His later crew-chief experience has included Top Alcohol, Funny Car and Top Fuel combinations.
Immediate playoff implications
