The Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown record book received a major rewrite during qualifying at the inaugural NHRA Great Lakes Nationals in Martin, Michigan.
Mark Davies recorded a 186.10-mph pass to establish a new speed benchmark, while Scott Hartman delivered the quickest elapsed-time run in category history. Both racers were competing in Dodge Drag Pak Challengers.
Factory Stock Showdown places modern factory-built muscle cars into heads-up competition, and the Michigan performances demonstrate how quickly the category continues to advance. The record-setting runs also added another milestone to NHRA’s first national-event weekend at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.
